# Cool Ways to Have Fun with Succulents ...

There are so many **ways to have fun with succulents**. Everyone knows that succulents are in! From cacti to aloe vera, these cute little plants require minimal effort to maintain and make great accessories to a dorm room or apartment. If you’re ready to take your obsession to the next level, then this is the article for you! Here are the best **ways to have fun with succulents**.

## 1. Make Your Own Tiny Terrarium

A little terrarium is one of the best **ways to have fun with succulents**. These self-contained mini ecosystems are easy to make and maintain, and you can arrange and decorate them however you like (glitter, tiny plastic dinosaurs, etc.)! All you need is an open-top glass container, succulent potting soil, white sand, pebbles and some succulents. Add a 1-2-inch layer of pebbles to the bottom of your container, then enough potting soil to accommodate the full length of your succulents’ roots. Using your finger, poke a small hole in the potting soil where you want each plant to go, then gently nestle them in, firmly patting the soil to cover the roots. Sprinkle a ¼ inch of white sand over the soil layer, then decorate to your liking! Place in direct sunlight, and water every few weeks when the soil is completely dry.

## 2. Get a Small Succulent Tattoo

An ankle or a wrist is the perfect place for a simple, tasteful line drawing of a sweet little succulent. A tattoo this small will be cheap and quick-healing, too.

## 3. Share the Love

Running out of ideas for gifts? Succulents reproduce very quickly, so they can easily be repotted into cute, unique containers like a mason jar or a salt shaker to give to the birthday girl, newlywed, or special person in your life. Usually, you can segment off a section of your sprouting succulent and simply place it into a container with potting soil. Keep it in direct sunlight, and water only when the soil is completely dry. The roots may need 5-10 days to grow in the new container.
