One of the main reasons to grow your own vegetables would be the fact that you will always have fresh vegetables to munch on. Nothing beats going out into your yard, picking some squash and cooking it. Nothing gets more fresher than this.

When you grow your own vegetables, you do not have to worry about pesticides on them, unless you use pesticides yourself. You will know for a fact where those veggies have been and who touched them.
